Hello again. I hope you had a marvelous Mothers Day. We had a relaxing day with family. I brought the Blueberry Baked French Toast with the Fresh Blueberry Sauce made from the recipe I posted last week. I added a dab of whipped cream over the warmed blueberry sauce. Yum is all I can say!
I am still focused on getting a few things done before my daughters get here this week. Yes, we went from 1 to 2 coming out. I’m so excited to see them! With the little half bath complete, I’ve been busy wrapping up a few more loose ends. Two big ones on my list are my office desk makeover and the outdoor shower floor.
Today I’m going to share with you the outdoor shower floor I just finished. So easy and quick to put together it can be done in less than and hour. Seriously!
We have an outdoor shower here like most Floridians. Its been great for those times when we’ve needed to rinse off the beach sand or just an extra shower not to mention it was our only shower during the bathroom gutting and remodeling. The original shower was just the piping and a shower head against the wall..not very accommodating. My Father in Law and I built this enclosure out of PVC fencing last fall. We LOVE it. Notice the solar lights on the posts? They are great for nighttime showers, just bright enough, you can see clearly in the shower and still see the stars in the night sky.
The cement floor on the inside was badly stained and just not attractive. I was planning on building a floor using composite wood until I ran across this product from Ikea.
This entire project was less than $100. These would look great on an deck or outdoor patio too. I’m not quite finished with the shower yet and have a really fun project in the works left to complete. Until then the rest of this redo will have to wait until later.
I snapped this last photo while I was working on the shower. There was a large dolphin pod swimming just off of our docks. Pretty cool, huh?
