This week on the blog
Attending the Haven Conference last week was awesome and always a good time. I’ve been home all of 2 days in the last 2 weeks. I’m now sitting at my daughters table in Dallas as I write this. Whew..I’m ready to get back to my routine and whatever “normal” is for us!
Creating and writing on the fly can be a bit of a challenge. I packed my jigsaw, a new set of blades and some sand paper in my suitcase to make something special for my grandson who just turned 3. One of my Facebook readers said she loved the project, but couldn’t do it. I say… YES, you CAN! I’ll show you how in my post coming soon.
Mark your calendars for August 13th. We have another round of the One Tool Challenge and this months theme is Back to School!
Thursday was Themed Furniture Day with a theme of Industrial. Our group of talented furniture painting bloggers had creative interpretations of this months theme. Click my link below to see everyone’s projects. I barely cut the mustard with my first dresser makeover ever that I painted 3 years ago. My eclectic vintage nautical dresser has a Faux Painted Zinc Dresser Top (click here).
Weekly tip: Since I’m using my daughters supplies here in Dallas, I couldn’t help but notice she isn’t as “thorough” as I am in cleaning my paint brushes. Soak brushes in vinegar to remove old paint residue 🙂
