Hello friends, and welcome back to another edition of the weekly DIY Sunday Showcase and Weekly Wrap Up! Our weekly features are becoming one of my favorite days of the week to be inspired and sometimes just plain wowed by the entries. We have not one, but two room makeovers today that blew us away! if you’re in the mode to liven up your indoor or outdoor space with a wow factor we’ve got you covered with almost free DIY ideas and a lovely way to tell a friend she’s special.
Let’s start with the wrap up..
I’ve been painting and DIYing like crazy this past week! I was motivated to tackle another project in my studio/office. I’ve avoided this project for so long and I’m thrilled it’s done. I only have a few more projects to finish and then (finally) will share my big reveal. I love how soft and feminine my desk and shelves are now….and I share a simple technique to paint a faux wood grain! Click here to see my desk makeover!
This was a big week for sharing and I banded with 12 other amazingly talented bloggers to promote simple DIY projects using only 1 power tool. This rounds challenge tool was a drill. All 13 projects had to be easy to make with a drill alone. Any cutting had to be with a handsaw or using the services of a local big box store that sells and cuts wood. I LOVE my new front door mat! See all 13 incredible projects here.
If you’re starting to plan for Memorial Day here’s a quick DIY project that I made a few years ago. I’ve used these little jars in so many ways, holding silverware at a BBQ, as flowers vases I’ve even put battery operated tea lights inside. Click here for my tutorial.
Grab your cup of morning coffee or tea, settle in and have fun perusing the entries. Of course if you’re a blogger, you know what this means! Link up your very best project or recipe for an opportunity to get lots of exposure! You’re hosts will be selecting their favorite to showcase each week and will be sharing the awesome entries all week-long via our social media channels! The party goes Live every Saturday at 5:00pm CST and runs until the following Wednesday
