Halloween decorations for a front porch don’t need to be elaborate or expensive. Creating a spooky or eerie front porch can be fun and easy using a few seasonal items and making use of what you probably already have lying around. Have some fun and add local items that reflect where you live. Adding something about yourself like a hobby or favorite sport you love add, an element of fun and personality. Here are a few of my Halloween decorations for a front porch that I’m using this year. I created a spooky vignette by placing a few classic Halloween decorations on our bench and added in a few items for a coastal flair.
Most of my items have been recycled from earlier years. I added a fish net and draped a big fake chain from one of my kids old costumes across the back. Spanish moss is always a good filler and adds a bit of an eerie effect for Halloween decorating. I just grabbed some off the local trees. Can you believe it grows near the beach in Fl?
Of course I couldn’t forget the witches cauldron, which works really well for holding treats for the scary trick or treaters! There you are.. this is what I used this year for Halloween decorations for my front porch. It’s frightfully festive and helps get us in the mood for all the ghouls and witches that will soon come a knockin’ on our door 🙂
What did you use for your decorations? Did you go traditional, fun or a combination?
