Every time I see a creatively made project with young children’s hands or feet I save it on Pinterest. Lately, I’ve been saving little hand and footprint Valentine ideas. Now that I’m a grandparent, I probably save even more creative ideas for projects. I think they are beautiful ways to save and preserve memories; the type of gifts that will be cherished for years.
These little hand and footprint Valentine ideas make wonderful gifts and mementos for new parents as well as grandparents. I thought I’d share a few of my favorite ones for Valentines Day.
Is this not too cute!

All it would take to make any one of these projects is a little paper or scrap of wood, some craft paint and of course the best ingredient … those cute little fingers and toes!
I have many years of my own children’s artwork and special projects saved in a large art portfolio. There are gifts like these little hand and footprint Valentines ideas inside too. I love looking through my collection, it brings back so many, many memories.
I always get misty eyed when I do … I can’t believe how the years have flown by!
These little gifts cost next to nothing and yet are full of love and last a lifetime. With Valentines Day a few weeks away there is still plenty of time to make something sweet like my collected Valentine gift and card ideas. If you have a special little one in your life, maybe as a parent ‘re a grandpThere is still plenty of time to drop BIG hints about what you’d really like to have for Valentines Day!
It’s OK to give a blatant hint … I just did {wink}
