I’m feeling nostalgic this week with our DIY Sunday Showcase features. We have an inspiring vintage porch that is so well done that I could easily close my eyes and imagine sitting on a cute stool, like our featured cement one, with a stack of vintage soda pop bottle crates nearby on a hot summer night sipping a cool Peach Moscato Smoothie while the little ones ate their fill of No Churn Bubble Gum Ice Cream.
I know fitting all the features into one intro paragraph is corny. But I have to admit, it’s kind of fun trying!
It’s been an exciting week. I’m finishing this post from Atlanta Georgia, where I’m attending the Haven Bloggers Conference. Haven is the conference to attend when you blog about home improvement, decorating and anything DIY related. It’s been lots of fun meeting new bloggers, seeing old friends and scoping out the latest and greatest new products and techniques to share with you all.
Earlier this week I shared my ZGallerie inspired Coral Spray , a 10 minute project.
I also shared How To Stencil a Lampshade and give a quick update to a plain lamp.
Tip of the week – To prevent paint from sticking to your skin on messy paint jobs. Generously apply hand lotion to hands, arms and legs before painting a messy project. When it’s time to clean up, the paint will wash away easily!
So are you ready to get this party started?

I am interested in the she shed you have posted . Is there a way to get info on the shed. It is lovely.
Wendi Wachtel says
Hi Jerrie,
Unfortunately there isn’t. If the link to the original poster of the she shed isn’t present in this round-up they may be in business anymore. Good luck searching!
